It has been over three weeks since a state of emergency was imposed in Pakistan, and with each passing day, my sense of desperation grows. Unfortunately, I am not the only one who feels this way. There is no easy way Pakistan will ever recover from this latest attack on its judiciary and media, and from the looks of it, the Pakistani establishment seems happy to see the above mentioned in chains. It doesn’t matter now if Musharraf steps down as COAS or not, the damage is irreparable. And there is no Superman in the skies, wielding a copy of the 1973 constitution and release orders for all.
