On a personal note, I am extremely saddened to read that Terry Pratchett has Alzheimer’s. I was introduced to the Discworld series a few years ago and it has been a brilliant love affair with his work since then.

From Pratchett’s Guards Guards:

It was the usual Ankh-Morpork mob in times of crisis: half of them were here to complain, a quarter of them were here to watch the other half, and the remainder were here to rob, importune or sell hot dogs to the rest.

  2. That sucks. Discworld has been on my reading list for almost 10 years now, but I haven’t read a single book yet. Atleast he’s alive yet and not dead like Robert Jordan – I hope he lives long enough for a good closure.

I love that quote, It’s so true!! Sad about Terry Pratchett, he’s huge here, well appreciated, though I’ve never bothered to read his books myself.

When you look at the amount of literature this man has generated over the years, it’s amazing that he manages to keep coming up with gems like that quote.
